TL;DR: You can now use Audio Overviews in NotebookLM in Swedish! This means you can transform your documents into engaging audio summaries—where two AI hosts discuss the key points in your files. Perfect for learning on the go or quickly grasping important content. 🇾đŸ‡Ș🎧


What Are Audio Overviews?

Audio Overviews are dynamic conversations between two AI hosts who summarize the content you’ve uploaded—such as documents, presentations, or spreadsheets. The goal is to offer a clear and engaging way to absorb information in a conversational format.


👉 Note: The overviews are strictly based on the materials you’ve uploaded—there’s no AI opinion or interpretation added.



How to Generate an Audio Overview:

  1. Open an existing notebook in NotebookLM (or create a new one and upload your sources)

  2. Go to the Notebook Guide

  3. In the Studio panel on the right, click Generate under Audio Overview

  4. Want to guide the content? Click Customize and enter a steering prompt (up to 500 characters) to focus on a specific topic

  5. Wait a few minutes while the AI generates the audio


📌 You must have edit access to the notebook to create or delete an Audio Overview


Language Support – Now Including Swedish!

You can now choose your output language in settings:

  • Settings > Output Language > Set Language 

  • By default, the language follows your Google account settings, but you can update it manually.


📌 Note: Non-English language support is still in beta – always double-check the audio if accuracy is important.
